Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Nauticaroger Finance Academy.

Leaders usually join our program with similar doubts: “Is this too technical for me?”, “Will I have time for it?”, “Can my team join as well?”. We collected the most frequent questions and answered them in clear, non-technical language.

If you do not find your question here, you are always welcome to send us a message. We prefer direct, honest conversations before you make any decision.

Not a finance expert? You are in the right place.

Nauticaroger Finance Academy is built for entrepreneurs and managers who did not study finance but make financial decisions every week. We start from your reality, not from textbook theory.

  • Plain English explanations, no jargon.
  • Examples from Italian and European businesses.
  • Plenty of space for questions.

You will work with simple models and visual tools that help you talk about numbers with your team.

General questions

These questions cover who the academy is for, what kind of finance topics we cover and how it fits into your role as a leader in Italy.

The program is designed for founders, CEOs, country managers and functional leaders who hold responsibility for results but do not feel fully comfortable with financial reports. Most participants are based in Italy or manage Italian operations for international companies.

No. You do not need a formal finance education. We start from the basic structure of financial statements and quickly move into practical examples using clear, everyday language. Participants with more experience often tell us that the program finally connects their technical knowledge with real leadership decisions.

The core content and sessions are delivered in English, which allows us to work comfortably with international teams. For in-company cohorts we can add Italian facilitation and materials where needed, for example for plant managers or local sales teams.

We are based in Rome, Italy (Via di Portonaccio, 23, 00159 Roma RM). Many of our participants are Italian companies, but we also work with European groups that operate in Italy and want to align their local and international teams around a common financial language. Online delivery makes it easy to include leaders from different locations.

Yes. Many companies choose the executive team format or an in-company cohort. In these cases we adapt examples to your sector and often use simplified versions of your own reports. This helps your team build a shared understanding and make decisions faster in regular meetings.

Still unsure if it is for you?

A short call is often the easiest way to see if the academy fits your situation. We will not push you to join; we will simply ask a few questions about your company, your team and the decisions you need to make.

Program structure & learning format

Here you will find answers about the schedule, workload and the way we combine live sessions with individual work on your own numbers.

Most cohorts run for 6–8 weeks. This gives leaders enough time to absorb the content, try tools between sessions and bring real questions from their business back to the group. For in-company formats, we can adjust the rhythm around your internal calendar and Italian public holidays.

You should plan for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours per week: around 90 minutes for the live session and 60–90 minutes for short assignments and reflection. The assignments are focused on your own situation, so they often replace work you would have to do anyway.

The core of the program is delivered live online to allow leaders from different cities to join. For executive teams and in-company cohorts we can add one or two onsite days in Rome or Milan, focused on strategy, scenarios and team alignment.

In most formats, yes. We start with simplified case studies and then invite you to plug your own numbers into the tools. For open cohorts we respect confidentiality and never ask you to share sensitive details with the group. For in-company cohorts we can work more directly with your historical data and internal reports.

We understand that leaders have unpredictable calendars. Sessions are normally recorded for internal use within the cohort, and we provide short recaps and materials so that you can catch up. For team formats we sometimes repeat critical exercises in a shorter session, depending on group needs.

What will I walk away with?

By the end of the program you will have a simple financial map of your business, a set of scenario tools and a clear monthly review routine for your leadership team.

Practical details, fees and next steps

This section covers pricing ranges, contracts and what happens after you decide to join or bring the academy into your organisation.

Fees depend on the selected format (individual leader cohort, executive team or in-company academy) and the level of customisation. To keep our communication transparent, we publish typical ranges on the Pricing page and then provide a precise proposal once we understand your context.

Payments are usually made by bank transfer based on an invoice issued by our Italian legal entity. For multi-cohort or in-company agreements, we can work with framework contracts and scheduled invoices aligned with your internal procurement process.

Yes. For in-company cohorts we adapt cases and examples to your sector—manufacturing, services, hospitality, technology or others. The underlying logic of financial analysis is the same, but familiar situations help teams connect the dots much more quickly.

The easiest next step is a short, no-obligation call. You can reach out via the contact form, email or phone. After the call we send a brief summary with suggested formats, dates and a clear outline of fees.
